Enola Holmes Review

How often do we see a lady detective solving a mystery on screen and that too in the time of 19th century London? Harry Bradbeer’s Enola Holmes will take you through a roller coaster ride by narrating the life of a 16-year-old girl Enola(Millie Bobby Brown) whose whole world revolves around her mother (Helena Carter) but one fine day, she just disappears.

Storyline:

Enola who got her family strings attached with the famous detective duo Sherlock Holmes and Mycroft Holmes (Henry Cavil and Sam Klafin), took the responsibility on her own shoulders to find her mother. In a time where getting married and having kids were the only options of a woman, Enola proudly breaks all the stereotypes. From being a smart and educated girl to showing her martial art skills, she is all over the screen solving the mystery, helping others and sometimes failing miserably multiple times.

If you are a Beneddict Cumberbatch fan, you won’t probably like Henry Cavil’s Sherlock. On the other hand, Millie Bobby Brown as Enola is quite impressive. The screen play is good but could have been better.

Verdict:

If you are a person looking for perfection in this movie, then you would be highly disappointed, but if you want a time off from everything and just enjoy the reel you can count on this movie.
