Major releases including ‘No Time To Die’, ‘Fast & Furious 9’ stand postponed while stars like Tom Hanks and Olga Kurylenko tested positive for Coronavirus

The ongoing Coronavirus crisis which started in China’s Wuhan Province has hit the Hollywood industry really hard. Around 6,000 people have already lost their lives so far.

Apart from deaths, the impact of Corona is visible across several industries. The Hollywood Reporter in its recent report described the impact of Coronavirus on Hollywood industry.

Already, Hollywood has suffered losses to the tune of at least $7 billion under the impact of Coronavirus. In the coming months, losses might climb up to $17 billion, as per industry estimates. Daniel Craig’s upcoming James Bond flick No Time to Die has been delayed too, stated producers.

As per latest updates, No Time to Die will be first released in the UK on November 12 this year, followed releases by US and other countries.

‘F9’ movie has been postponed from May, 2020 to April 2, 2021, added reports.

Postponed to: Uncertain date
The Walt Disney has delayed the theatrical release of ‘Mulan’. The studio will announce new release dates later.
Peter Rabbit 2
Release date: March 27, 2020
Deferred to: August 7, 2020
Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, featuring the voices of James Corden and Margot Robbie has been moved to August 7.
 
Escape Room 2
Release date: April 4, 2020
Deferred to: January 1, 2021
The horror story, a continuation to the 2019 film will open December 30, 2020.

Tom Hanks: The Oscar-winning Forrest Gump actor this on Instagram, halting pre-production of biopic on music legend Elvis Presley.
Rita Wilson: The wife of Tom Hanks, a well-known actor and singer is also infected.
Olga Kurylenko: The Ukrainian-actor, well-known for James Bond film ‘Quantum of Solace’ and starred in 2013 film ‘Oblivion’, took to Instagram to share the news.
Idris Elba: The  star of Luther and The Wire is living isolated since finding out he was exposed to the virus.
Kristofer Hivju: The actor who starred as Tormund Giantsbane in Game of Thrones is the latest celebrity to be tested positive.
