Gulabo Sitabo Review

It is showtime Friday! Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan and ever promising Ayushman Khurrana in never seen avatars are the highlight of Gulabo Sitabo, a comedy drama by Shoojith Sircar.

Amitabh and Ayushman make you laugh and feel vulnerable. These characters hold a mirror to us. The movie is a satirical take on human greed and how far it can take us.

Written by acclaimed screen writer Juhi Chaturvedi, this movie touches upon a serious topic in a lighthearted manner. Bollywood trade analyst Tarun Adarsh praised the film for its impressive content.

Some reviewers felt the movie seemed a bit stretchy. The plot and cultural setting may take some time to register. But it is nothing similar to what is generally seen in mainstream Bollywood cinema. Once you dig in, you are in for a fun ride.

The last 20 minutes truly belong to Farruq Jafar. The veteran actor is at her comical best. All the women characters are rooted in real life conditions. Kudos to Juhi and her brilliant writing!

We also can’t help but notice its availability on Telegram.  We urge you to support original content and not go for piracy.

Final verdict

This is not a popcorn entertainer. There are tit bits of humor everywhere. It may not make you go overboard. Some laugher relief with wonderful content is assured. This one is worth a watch
