Bollywood heroines

2019 will go down in history for actresses who ruled the box office despite having any talents, except for the mesmerizing Alia, who delivered one hit and one mega flop. Let’s have a look at FanKick’s list of most successful Bollywood heroines.

Kiara Advani – Probably the only contemporary heroine who was part of 300 Crore blockbuster without doing or saying much in the movie. Her character Preeti in Kabir Singh has the least amount of dialogues in the movie yet she was fortunate to be part of the successful film of the year. It’d be interesting to see if her OTT acting in Good Newwz will be accepted or not by the audience. She would be seen in two of the most anticipated movies of 2020, Laxxmi Bomb and Shershaah.

Kriti Sanon – She had the most number of releases this year; 4 movies as heroine. However, only two hits – Lukka Chuppi and Housefull 4. Kriti had many hopes about Panipat, even went to compare herself with Priyanka Chopra’s character in Bajirao Mastaani, but the movie sank without a trace. With movies like Mimi, Farzi and Lukka Chuppi 2, Kriti would like to make 2020 a memorable year.

Kangna Ranaut – Trust Kangna to make a splash if she has a movie to release. The start of the year saw Kangna’s Manikarnika hitting the screens finally after much delay. As with every other Kangna movie, this movie too was hit with all sorts of controversies. Kangna took over as director of the film but the movie got moderate success only. Kangna’s next release Judgemental Hai Kya with Rajkumar Rao also failed to make much noise. She will be back in 2020 with Panga and Thalaivi.

Katrina Kaif – She did just one film which turned out to be a hit. Bharat came to Katrina’s way by chance after Priyanka Chopra walked out of the film to marry Nick Jonas. If critics are to be believed, Katrina gave her best performance in Bharat. 2020 will see her reunite with Akshay Kumar in Sooryavanshi.

Alia Bhatt – If there is one star kid who justified their starry launch, it is Alia Bhatt. Every single film cemented her place as Bollywood’s best. When Gully Boy got released, Alia was applauded by critics and audience alike. Although Gully Boy made it to the final list at the Oscars, nevertheless it is another feather in her cap. After the setback of Kalank, Alia is ready to bounce back in a bigger and better way in 2020. She has three biggest projects of Indian cinema in her kitty, Brahmastra, RRR and Sadak 2.
