The late NBA star Kobe Bryant, was selected for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame along with eight others. Kobe, along with Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett has been inducted for the honor. The honors will be officially conducted on August 29, 2020 in Springfield.
A huge loss for the game!
Kobe died in the tragedy on January 26, that left his millions of fans in shock. A former LA Lakers guard, Kobe was one of the greatest in the game. He is ranked 4th in the NBA’s career points list with 33,643 points. The helicopter accident also killed his daughter Gianna along with seven others.
Kobe was a five-time NBA champion and Most Valuable Player two times in the final. He received another honor when NBA decided to rename All-Star MVP as Kobe Bryant MVP Award. The 18-time NBA All-Star winner had a two-decade career with LA Lakers. He also captured two Olympic Gold medals while representing USA before his untimely demise.
